The Difference Between Junction Box And Switch Box

1. The junction box is the length of the pipeline in the electrical distribution line. When the elbow exceeds the distance and number of elbows specified in the specification and when the pipeline has branches, the transit box must be set up. The junction box is reserved for the distribution of the pipeline to the load terminal. Its function is to facilitate threading, separation and transition wiring.

2. Switch boxes, socket boxes and light boxes are all wiring boxes for the installation of lamps,  switches, sockets, fixed panels and wiring in boxes.

3. Junction boxes and switch boxes belong to the auxiliary materials in the electrical installation  engineering, but in the separate connection boxes and switch boxes installation quota subheadings,  they belong to the uncalculated main materials and need to input the unit price of the main  materials.

4. Junction box and switch box, whether metal electrical box or PVC electrical box, are commonly used in  installation engineering at present.

5. When calculating the junction boxes, the number of headboxes, socket boxes and switch boxes is  calculated according to the drawings; the junction boxes must be transited according to the branch  of the pipeline or when returning to the pipeline; when the straight distance of the pipeline and  the number of elbows exceed the requirements specified in the code, the junction boxes must be  added to carry out the factual calculation. In this part, we must pay attention to the analysis and  calculation of pipeline and elbow, otherwise we will do more if we do not do less calculation.
